DESCRIPTION: This ambitious, thematic, music-and-history video was created as a central art installation at a new waterfront museum in Boston's North End. Blending period music with historic and contemporary stills and stories from the rich history of Battery Wharf, this program invites viewers to visit bygone days and relive tales of colonial defense systems and historic wharves, soldiers and sailors, ferries and sailing ships, shipbuilders and lobster sellers, and a host of daring historic and modern missions. Stellar musicians include pianist Jacqueline Schwab, whose credits include many soundtracks for Ken Burns' historic films.

USES TO DATE: projected as an ongoing video loop and centerpiece of the Maritime Museum at Battery Wharf; used for informational sessions for staff and special lectures; short segment on YouTube.
